These terms cover your use of Studio Cursor, including the reference pages, the cursor packs, the effects, the guides, and the maker and converters once they open.

Using the site

You can use the site for free, for personal and commercial work, without an account. Please do not use it in a way that harms the site or other visitors, for example by flooding it with automated requests or trying to break into it, and do not copy it wholesale to pass it off as your own.

Files you make

Cursors you make in the maker, and files you convert, belong to you, or to whoever owns the image you started from. We claim no rights in them. Make sure you have the right to use any logo, artwork or character you turn into a cursor.

Cursor packs

The cursor packs we publish are released under CC0 1.0. You can use, change and share them for any purpose, including commercial projects, without asking and without credit. The licenses page has the details.

Code snippets

The CSS, HTML and JavaScript on the reference, effect and guide pages may be copied into your own projects, commercial or not, without credit. They are released under CC0 1.0 like the packs.

Text and site design

The written guides, the reference text and the site’s own design belong to Studio Cursor. You are welcome to quote short passages with a link back to the page you quoted. Please do not republish whole pages.

No warranty

The site, the tools and the files are provided as they are, without any warranty. We work to keep the reference accurate, but browsers and operating systems change, and a cursor that works today may behave differently after an update. Test cursors on the browsers and systems your visitors use before you ship them.

Installing cursor files on your computer changes system settings. Only install files you trust, and keep a way back: the Windows Default scheme is always one click away in Mouse Properties.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, Studio Cursor is not liable for any loss or damage that comes from using the site, its tools or anything you download from it.

Links to other sites

We link to other websites for reference. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content.

Names of other products

Windows, macOS, Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari, Webflow, Framer, Wix, Squarespace and the other products we mention are trademarks of their owners. We name them only to explain what works where. Studio Cursor is not affiliated with any of them, or with any company or product called Cursor.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version. If you keep using the site after a change, the new terms apply.
