Licenses

Cursor packs and code snippets are CC0 1.0. Use them for anything, commercial work included, with no credit and no permission needed.

Updated

Everything you download from the cursor packs, and every snippet you copy from the reference, effect and guide pages, is free to use for anything.

Cursor packs: CC0 1.0

All cursor packs on Studio Cursor are drawn by us and dedicated to the public domain under the Creative Commons CC0 1.0 Universal public domain dedication. That covers every file in a pack: the PNG images at every size, the .cur and .ani files, the Windows .inf installer, and the README and stylesheet that come in the bundles.

In plain terms, you can:

  • use the cursors on websites, in apps, in games and in videos;
  • install them on your own computers and on computers you manage;
  • change them, recolour them, resize them and build new cursors from them;
  • share them, bundle them with your own work, such as themes, templates or software, and sell that work;

all without asking us and without giving credit. Credit, or a link back, is welcome but never required.

What CC0 does not cover. It does not give you rights to anything that is not ours: if you combine a pack with a brand’s logo, that logo still belongs to its owner. Shapes that follow a common convention, such as an arrow or a pointing hand, belong to nobody. The packs come with no warranty; see the terms.

Code snippets: CC0 1.0

The CSS, HTML and JavaScript snippets on the reference, effect and guide pages are also released under CC0 1.0. Paste them into client work, templates or products without a notice.

Cursors you make yourself

Files you create in the maker or the converters are yours. We do not add a license to them and we claim no rights in them. If you start from someone else’s logo or artwork, their rights still apply.

Text and site design

The guides, the reference text and the design of this site are © 2026 Studio Cursor and are not covered by CC0. Short quotes with a link back to the page are welcome.

Third-party material

The reference pages cite the CSS specification, MDN Web Docs and browser source code, and link to them. Those works keep their own licenses.
